Spain beat Austria 3-0 in Match 84 of the World Cup 2026 Round of 32.

Spain's group stage had control without full fluency. This knockout result looked sharper and cleaner, which is why the 3-0 margin matters beyond simple advancement.

Austria were exactly the kind of opponent who could have turned the game messy. Spain did not let that happen for long enough to threaten the route.
